Len’s legal career has been primarily devoted to criminal defense, representing clients for decades on matters ranging from driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs (DUI) to capital murder.
Len is one of a select number of criminal attorneys in New Jersey to attain the distinction of becoming a “Certified Criminal Trial Attorney by the New Jersey Supreme Court.” He has tried three capital murder cases, several other murder trials, a federal international criminal case, and cases involving robbery, firearms offenses, drug conspiracy, and other accused offenses.
Len represents various public agencies in contract negotiations, including probation offices, police offices, and sheriff’s offices. He also extends representation to individuals, banks, corporations, political appointees, and police officers from many different agencies. Because of his unique experience and qualifications, Len is recognized by the Police Benevolent Association as qualified to represent law enforcement officers in administrative and/or legal matters.
In addition to his criminal practice, Len has successfully litigated numerous civil matters resulting in substantial awards to his clients, including injury cases involving wrongful death and auto accidents.
Len served for 25 years as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Law at Rutgers School of Law, Camden. During his tenure, Len taught advanced courses in criminal procedure and developed new curriculum for a course titled “Criminal Practice.” Len is also a guest lecturer at an annual one-week course for outstanding high school students called “Boys State of New Jersey,” where he speaks about the legal profession.
